Our Location...
New England Center for Clinical Research™ (N.E.C.C.R.) is situated in Cranston, Rhode Island, a compact state most recognizable for its 400
miles of shoreline that has resulted in the nickname, "The Ocean
State". Rhode Island offers much for our visitors in a comparatively small
area and it lies on beautiful Narragansett Bay, an arm of the Atlantic
Ocean.
Rhode Island's leading resort centers include Block Island,
Narragansett, Newport, and Watch Hill. In addition, visitors can tour the many historic sites, colonial buildings, and old churches in Rhode
Island. Many of Rhode Island's most popular annual events include boat
races, fishing contests, and tennis tournaments.
Rhode Island's economy is built upon three powerful industries:
Health services, tourism and manufacturing. Health services is the state's
largest industry. Growing industries include electronics, plastics,
metal products, instruments, chemicals, and boat building.
Scientific instruments rank third among the state's manufactured
products. Major products in this category include instruments that
measure electric current and medical and surgical instruments.
Providence is one of New England's leading financial centers.
Fleet/Norstar®, one of the nation's biggest banking companies, is headquartered in the
city as well as large insurance companies and major
savings and loans.
